Feniks Renewal
What’s under development?

Many of our dear followers have written to us to express their concern, asking what has been happening with Feniks during this last time: Basically we have decided to unpublish all the already concluded research projects in order to review them one by one and undergo through a massive update of our work.
That’s the main reason why they are all offline.

Our philosophy is to offer you the most accurate reconstructions, based on deep research: looking into historical archives, contacting museums, consulting with archaeologists and historians, and so on.
But a few years ago, our capabilities were limited in terms of the time needed between research/modelling/producing the material for the final result, while also reaching a high level of detail and precision.

With the arrival of newer technologies, especially the latest advanced AI tools, we are now able to work faster, develop projects in parallel, and offer even more precise reconstructions.
Our commitment is to show heritage as it really was, and to offer you quality material that gives a true idea of how these buildings looked in real life. We do not want to produce “quick” models in greater quantity, without deep research, resulting in a distorted image of the past. As we like to say: “We offer serious scientific researches, not just castles taken from fairy tales.”

With this said, we will progressively re-upload all the old researches once reviewed (most of them took place in Slovenia), so that no information is lost or erased from Feniks.
Besides updating the models and research, we are also reviewing and re-modelling projects where we found inconsistencies. This includes ruins that have almost disappeared (such as Tabor Povir), where the LiDAR satellite imagery was too poor at the time and we can now establish the real geometry of the old building. It also includes cases where we receive new information or pictures, for example when the position or number of windows differs from the theory we established through research.

Every trace, every brick, and every stone has a story to tell. Some are waiting in silence, and some require more time to be understood. With our love for heritage, our passion for knowledge, and our curiosity about the past, we continue to research and study carefully the information that has reached us in the present, to awaken these ruins and places and transform their silence into a beautiful melody of life for posterity.
